Why Keeping Regular?
What's in the name?
The name Keeping Regular has been associated with my business since I first started working as a colon hydrotherapist. At that time I liked it because it implied the need to have consistent and regular bowel movements. The question, "How often are you pooping?" was one that was not being asked or discussed by many, yet the answer to that question can give us much insight to a persons current health condition. As my studies taught me more about the circadian rhythm and how important it is to maintaining physical routine I came to realize that staying healthy depended on regularity throughout the entire body, across all systems. Take for example the menstrual cycle. The reliability of a regular menstrual cycle is something that helps a woman properly plan her productivity, rest, fertility and creativity. The regularity of a woman's cycle or the absence of it is vital sign of overall health. I have come to realize that keeping regular doesn't just relate to our bowels but it touches on all aspects of our lives. Keeping regular is necessary to develop habits, routines and practices in our daily lives. Finding the ways to restore the regular physical cycles and processes in the body is what I endeavor to achieve with you. Keeping regular in health and in habits.

I recognize that completely changing your diet is a big endeavour and can be too much commitment for most people. In many cases a series of little changes can make big differences. This is why I like to have you fill out a food journal and an extensive intake questionnaire that gives me insight into your lifestyle and habits. Seeing the entire picture of your life helps me to pinpoint the places where I can make subtle changes with the biggest results. Our digestion and hormones are affected by what we eat, and also how we sleep, how we handle stress, how much we move and how we feel about our lives. I genuinely believe and understand that although in theory our bodies all work the same way, we each individually live in a way that makes our state of health as unique as our fingerprint. Therefore we each need to be guided and helped to reach our health goals in our own unique way. We often already have an idea of the shifts we need to make for healthier lives but we tend get in our own way. It is my goal to listen to you and examine the information you provide so that together we can determine the main areas of change and clearly forge the way to get there.
